City of Wilmington residential customers can purchase warranty coverage for their water line, sewer line, and other home services. They provide protection for over 1.8 million homeowners nationwide and have achieved an A- rating from the Better Business Bureau.

  • In the event of an issue with a covered line, customers should contact American Water Resources directly to coordinate the repair. AWR will assign a local contractor for the job. The customer will receive confirmation of the repair time and contractor’s name, along with an ETA of their arrival. The contractor will assess the issue to ensure it is covered and complete repair in a timely manner.

  • Yes, there are circumstances or existing conditions that American Water Resources excludes from covered repairs. You should review the terms and conditions of your protection plan carefully to understand the coverage limits and exclusions.
