Start/Stop Water & Sewer Service

Property owners must notify the department in writing to start or stop water service.


Requirements & Important Information

  • All outstanding charges, including penalties and interest, must be paid through the actual shut-off date.
  • A $40 turn-off fee and a $40 turn-on fee will automatically be applied to your account.
  • Water shut-off requests remain in effect for one (1) year from the requested turn-off date.
  • Your account will not be billed during this one-year period.
  • After one year, billing will automatically resume unless a new request is submitted.
  • To keep service off beyond one year, you must submit a new request at least 30 days prior to the expiration date.
  • Failure to submit a renewal request within the required timeframe will result in billing charges to your account.


Fees

If the property is occupied at the time of shut-off, the owner must prepay the facilities charge and any other applicable charges for the remainder of the billing period.
